Typically, most customers would like to have their vehicle ceramic coated within 2 to 3 weeks. However, some customers request expedited service, which could increase the cost depending on your needs.
The current condition of your vehicle can play an important role in cost. The newer the vehicle the more money that can be saved. Once a vehicle has seen the road for many miles and has taken many hits from rocks and road debris it leaves our professionals with a more in-depth paint correction process. This could increase the cost by $300 all the way up to $1000 depending on the condition of the paint.
Our Ceramic Coatings by XPEL are permanent which means they do not need to be reapplied at a later date. Once our products have been applied to the vehicle they are there to stay. The best way to remove the application is to have it completely buffed out by a car detailing professional.
This is really important, and if you plan on taking your vehicle through friction-based drive through car washes then our XEPL coatings may not be a product for you. Drive through car washes often times use harsh chemicals and car soaps. They also use a series of industrial-strength spinning machines with a cloth-like material that is used to wash the surface. These materials are used for durability – and not for gentle application of force. As such, the potential for swirl marks, paint chips, and other damage to the vehicle’s paint and the ceramic coating application is greater than a hand wash system. and overtime the coating and vehicle itself can become permanently damaged.
If you have installed a paint protection film or ceramic coating on your vehicle, and can’t hand wash your vehicle, using a touchless car wash facility is your best option. There are several waterless wash solutions that are likewise good alternatives, but the high-pressure washing system is what we’d recommend.
